What is Pilates?

 

Pilates is a comprehensive exercise method that teaches true body control through precise techniques. When practiced consistently and correctly, Pilates:

  • Reshapes the body to optimal anatomical alignment

  • Carves a leaner waistline and aesthetic

  • Corrects and prevents muscular imbalances

  • Maintains proper skeletal alignment

Each session incorporates all Pilates principles, using a customized combination of Classical and contemporary techniques tailored to the client's needs.

Chrissy's has two decades of experience in crafting Pilates sessions.  She utilizes Classical, Contemporary and Clinical Pilates techniques with precise and engaging cueing. By integrating the core Principles of Pilates in each session, clients gain a deep understanding of the method's foundation, enabling them to truly master the exercises with proper technique and attain their goals.

With 20 years of Pilates practice, Chrissy brings a wealth of experience to her teaching.  This enables her to select the most effective exercises to tailor optimal results for you.  Her approach is influenced by her extensive education and practice in:

  • Contemporary Dance and Ballet

  • Gyrotonic

  • Kinesiology

  • Muscle Activation Technique

Qualifications:

  • Kinesiology degree from UT

  • Multiple Gyrotonic Certifications

  • Full Body MAT Specialist

  • Licensed Bodyworker/Massage Therapist

It is these qualifications, combined with Chrissy’s expert focus on Body Alignment, muscle firing patterns, technique, and quality of movement that make Pilates with Align Body unique.

Private Sessions are priced at $125/per session or $1200/10 pack.

Duet Sessions are priced at $75 each, or $700/10 pack.
