  • Is Virtual Training available?
Yes! This type of training started over Covid and has been proven to be an effective way to stay in shape. We can work with you on Pilates Mat, which requires minimal props, or on the following equipment if you have it: the MOTR, Reformer, Cadillac, or Chair. All virtual sessions will be recorded and sent to you with a three day replay so you can work out on your own.
  • Are Gyrotonic classes available?
No. Only Gyrotonic private sessions are available.
  • Are group classes available?
Currently, we only offer private sessions and duets. If you have a request for a group Mat class, please contact Chrissy so we can accommodate you.
  • Do you require clients to do an individual session prior to doing a duet session?
Yes, in order to assess your current skill level, we must see you privately first. After this initial session, we will fit you with an appropriate duet partner if available. Alternatively, you can organize your own duet with a friend or family member, though we will still need to see each of you for a private session first if you have never trained together. If you have trained together before, we can go straight to the duet.
  • What should I wear to Pilates?
We ask that you wear yoga pants, leggings, athletic pants, or bike shorts as bottoms. If you wear loose shorts, we ask that you wear bike shorts underneath so that your skin is covered. As far as tops, please wear something that you can move in and that will allow us to see your form. We don't suggest overly baggy shirts.
  • Can I wear lotion/body oil/sunscreen?
We kindly request that you don't wear thick lotion, body oil, or sunscreen when you're using the equipment. If you do choose to wear any of the above, we ask that you wear bottoms that completely cover your legs and long sleeves so that your skin is completely covered. Lotions, oils, or sunscreens get on the equipment and are difficult to remove.
  • Are socks required?
Yes, clean socks are required for your session. This ensures that everyone has a hygienic surface to work out on and prevents the transfer of germs. We highly recommend wearing sticky socks in order to get the most out of your session, but any socks will do.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
In an effort to respect the instructor's time, we currently require 48 hours of advance notice, otherwise you will be charged the full price of the session. However, we do make exceptions for Covid exposures.
  • Who do I notify to cancel my session?
Please text or email Chrissy at (281) 667-2900 or chrissy@align-body.com
  • Can I reserve my standing sessions if I leave for the summer or more than six weeks?
Unfortunately, we cannot hold time slots if you're unavailable to come to the studio or to train virtually for six weeks or more. Align Body currently has a waitlist of clients who deserve the opportunity to book sessions as time slots become available. However, we are happy to book standing sessions for up to six months in advance if you're going to be able to come to the studio or train virtually for private or duet sessions.
  • Where is the studio?
5250 Gulfton Suite 3A Houston, TX 77081 We share studio space with Trek Pilates.
  • How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes in length.
  • What forms must be filled out prior to my session?
A fitness intake form, late cancellation policy form, and a liability waiver are all required prior to beginning training with Align Body. All of these forms will be sent to you electronically.
  • How will I pay?
You will be invoiced by Align Body and can pay using Zelle, check, cash, or credit card.
